Pearl Jewellery – PEARL and MEDALION Collections
Pearls have always inspired me with their elegance, depth of colour and unique lustre. In the PEARL and MEDALION collections, I combine baroque pearls with handcrafted sterling silver jewellery.
I have known Dutch paintings for years, but after watching “Girl with a Pearl Earring”, directed by Peter Webber, I could not forget its scenes full of deep colour, light and shadow, as well as the heroine and her earrings.
Pearls feel elegant, dignified and cool, yet they also have a soft, satin-like lustre. My greatest fascination has always been baroque pearls: irregular in shape, with a wavy surface and multi-tonal glow. That is why I made such a unique pearl the heroine of the rings in the PEARL collection.
The bold cocktail-ring silhouette gains lightness thanks to the satin surface of the pearl, which reminds me of the moon reflected on water. A thin silver frame surrounds the pearl and flows seamlessly into a faceted band.
MEDALION Collection
The MEDALION collection was built around one leading motif: a round silver medallion that creates the perfect backdrop for pearl necklaces and bracelets.
A pearl necklace knotted on silk thread is a jewellery classic, but it is the care put into its making and knotting that creates the feeling of a luxurious product. The pearls chosen for the MEDALION necklace are intentionally smaller and irregular, creating a one-of-a-kind composition.
For MEDALION bracelets, I often choose elongated rice pearls. The medallion itself offers many personalisation possibilities: it is made of 925 sterling silver, has a matte faceted surface and a flat back where we can add a letter, initials or symbol. On request, I also make gold medallions or medallions with a polished finish.
MEDALIONY Pearl Earrings
MEDALIONY earrings with baroque pearls are jewellery for special occasions. They are perfect for evening outfits, while the version with a white pearl also works beautifully as bridal earrings.
The pearls may resemble an oval or a water droplet. Each pair is unique and will be appreciated by true lovers of elegant jewellery. The earrings have a long, dangling form, while the stud fastening ensures comfortable wear.
MEDALION Necklace with a Baroque Pearl
The MEDALION necklace with a baroque pearl on a silver chain lies beautifully on the neckline, forming a “V” shape. The 925 sterling silver is rhodium-plated, giving it a cool, clean tone.
Gold plating is available in yellow and rose shades. The plating is 2 microns thick and additionally protected with a nanoparticle coating, giving the jewellery a noble and durable finish. The baroque pearls selected for the MEDALION necklace have soft pastel tones or deep shades shimmering with garnet, green and violet.
