FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Monopolka jewelry handmade?

Yes, all jewelry is handmade by designer Gosia Szewczyk in her studio in Gdańsk. Components such as chains, clasps, studs, or gemstones are sourced from trusted Polish suppliers.

2. Do you use genuine Baltic amber?

Of course. I only use natural Baltic amber from trusted suppliers. Each stone is carefully selected and hand-carved to highlight its natural beauty. I also change its color to cognac or cherry shades by exposing it to high temperatures.

3. How long does delivery take?

It depends on product availability. Most orders are shipped within 1–2 business days. For made-to-order items, production usually takes 3–5 business days or longer if you order jewelry in silver or gold. Each product page includes details about availability and production time “on order.”

4. Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship within Poland, the European Union, and many countries worldwide. Shipping cost and delivery time depend on the option chosen at checkout.

5. How is the jewelry packaged?

Each piece comes in an elegant grey or white box with the silver Monopolka logo. If you need an additional gift bag, please leave a note with your order. I can also include a card with a message or wishes. The entire order is packed in a cardboard box to protect your jewelry during shipping.

6. Can I return or exchange jewelry?

Yes. You can return or exchange your product within 14 days of receiving it, provided it is unworn, undamaged, and in its original packaging. Full details can be found in the “Returns & Complaints” section.

7. Do you take custom orders?

Yes, I design and create custom jewelry based on client requirements, or I can adapt my designs to suit individual needs. Some pieces also allow for engraving or setting a dream gemstone.

8. Do you make engagement rings and wedding jewelry?

Yes, engagement rings and wedding bands are a significant part of my custom projects. In cooperation with a Polish casting house, I can create jewelry in sterling silver (925) as well as gold 333, 585, or 750 in white, yellow, or rose gold. I design jewelry using 3D printing technology, which allows me to create advanced forms with gemstones or mixed gold colors.

9. How should I care for silver jewelry?

My silver jewelry is rhodium-plated, which prevents tarnishing. Gold-plated jewelry is coated with a 2-micron layer and protected with a nano-coating. Some silver pieces are oxidized. However, please note that all coatings wear off over time. I recommend removing jewelry during sports, avoiding chemicals, and storing it in zip-lock bags away from light and heat. In my workshop, I also offer jewelry repair, refreshing, and cleaning services.

10. What materials do you use in your jewelry?

The main Monopolka collections are crafted in sterling silver 925, with the option of custom-made pieces in gold. I use precious and semi-precious stones, Baltic amber, wood, pearls, steel, copper, brass, and resin.

11. Can I track my order?

Yes. After shipping, you will receive an email with a tracking number so you can monitor your order status in real time.

12. Is Monopolka a Polish brand?

Yes, Monopolka is an independent Polish jewelry brand founded in 2012 in Gdańsk by Gosia Szewczyk, a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Faculty of Industrial Design.

13. Do you offer wholesale or B2B collaboration?

Yes, I collaborate with boutiques and concept stores worldwide. If you are interested in wholesale orders, please contact me directly.

14. Where can I see and try on Monopolka jewelry?

You are welcome to visit my studio and showroom in Gdańsk, at 4 Królikarnia Street. There you will find the widest selection. If you want to make sure the piece you are looking for is available, please contact me first. I also work with boutiques, and the updated list can be found in the “Contact & Company Info” section.

15. How can I measure my ring size?

The most accurate way is to measure your finger at a jeweler or jewelry store. If this is not possible, you can use a caliper to measure the exact inner diameter of a ring that already fits your finger.

16. Does Monopolka offer hypoallergenic jewelry?

Yes, some of my jewelry is made of surgical stainless steel, which is hypoallergenic.
